27 July 2014 Statement by Dmitry Firtash
Statement by Dmitry Firtash, Head of the Board of Group DF
I absolutely condemn actions of militants having infiltrated into the territory of Stirol Concern in Gorlovka, having planted mines in it and having moved forward demands to the Ukrainian authorities. To me, such actions are nothing but criminal and senseless ones. All the bulk production including ammonia synthesis and processing was halted on May 8, 2014 following the situation deterioration in the region. There are no stockpiles of ammonia or any other explosives in the company’s territory. Therefore, potential explosions at the Concern may destroy production facilities but will not lead to an accident with heavy consequences. In pursuit of safety priorities, all Stirol employees evacuated the facility immediately upon receiving a notice of mine-laying.SEE ALSO:
