Employers Organizations Start Uniting Into An Integrated Entity
The process of employers organizations consolidation has begun in Ukraine, said Mr. Dmitry Firtash, Head of the Joint Employers Movement of Ukraine as he was addressing a forum attended by representatives of Ukrainian employers organizations.
According to Mr. Firtash, the united organization is critical for the nation today. Uniting all organizations into one voice of business will enable a more effective social dialog with the government and trade unions, and will make it possible to develop an integrated strategy of Ukraine’s economy advancement, to incentivize innovations implementation, to raise the quality of vocational education and to create new jobs.
Mr. Firtash also reported that the unification congress which is expected to complete the process of all organizations consolidation into one powerful entity is scheduled to take place in late November 2011.
NOTE
Presently, there are 22 All-Ukrainian employers organizations acting in Ukraine of which 18 are sectoral and 4 inter-sectoral organizations. The Joint Representative Body of Employers Party at the National Level (JRB) is the only authority integrating the position of these organizations. JRB is headed by Mr. Firtash. However, the entirety of matters addressed by JRB is only limited by the scope of regulation of the Law of Ukraine On Social Dialog and does not touch upon a number of other key areas of Ukrainian business operation where a shared consolidated position is essential. These issues include, for instance, strengthening Ukrainian businesses positions on the international market, innovative business development, fostering investments and funding influx into Ukraine, etc.
