Dmitry Firtash’s Plant Helped 10 Cherkasy Schools
Cherkasy Azot, part of the OSTCHEM holding company (consolidating Dmitry Firtash’s Group DF fertilizer enterprises), started the summer campaign of repairs in 10 schools of the city.Repairs in schools are performed by the employee teams of Azot workshops. The enterprise workers replace windows, insulate walls, repair roofs, bathrooms, heating networks in Cherkasy schools.
Cherkasy Azot traditionally helps to prepare schools for the new school year conducting repair works during the summer. “This is just one of the directions of our cooperation in the framework of the social responsibility program of the enterprise”, said Konstantin Salenko, Social Responsibility Director of Cherkassy Azot.
Support for the development of education in Ukraine is a priority for Group DF Corporate Responsibility. Azot provides systematic assistance to the educational institutions of the city allowing the purchase of necessary equipment, furniture, and sports facilities.
“Every summer, Cherkasy Azot provides us with a team of specialists to carry out necessary repairs. In addition, employees of the company annually conduct a phased replacement of doors in the school rooms”, says Svitlana Osadcha, director of the school №21.
