Dmitry Firtash Attracted Foreign Investors In Small Business of Ukraine
The President of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine Dmitry Firtash is in talks with European business associations on creation of a fund to support small and mid-size businesses in the amount of EUR 500 million. This was stated by the FEU President at the meeting of the Federation Council.
"Today small- and mid-size businesses need support more than never. Therefore we in Vienna are working through the issue of creation of an international fund to render financial support to Ukrainian entrepreneurs," said Dmitry Firtash.
According to the FEU President, multinational companies, state structures, the European Union, and also the Ukrainian business may become investors of the fund. Dmitry Firtash noted that he had been negotiating with representatives of European business communities for two months already.

The FEU President Dmitry Firtash initiated and has become one of the major investors in ‘Bukovyna’ Fund aimed at support of small and mid-sized business in the Chernivtsi region. The Fund’s capital equals UAH 3 mln. During 1.5 year the Fund financed 12 projects of Chernivtsi entrepreneurs who can qualify for startup capital (to UAH 80 thousand), and preferential loans in hryvnia at 12 percent annual rate (to UAH 320 thousand). As of today, this is the only fund in Ukraine financing business projects in real sectors of the economy.
