Crimea TITAN To Continue Armiansk Development
City’s principal enterprise Crimea TITAN will continue development of Armiansk infrastructure in 2013-2014. It is planned to overhaul the entrances and elevators in residential buildings of the city, as well as cold water systems. This was decided during the meeting of the Chairman of the Group DF Supervisory Council Dmitry Firtash, Chairman of the Board of Crimea TITAN Serhiy Kosenko, and Mayor of Armiansk Valentin Demidov. All works on the city improvement are part of Preserve Your City program initiated by the Chairman of the Group DF Supervisory Council Dmitry Firtash.
Thus, the company will repair 25 elevators. Crimea TITAN will take on not only the replacement of elevators’ defective components, but also cabins’ interior, doors and outdated lighting for modern ones.
360 out of 560 building entrance hallways saw cosmetic repairs and metal doors with combination locks installed. Lighting was restored in 260 hallways, and windows were installed in 291 hallways.
Furthermore, the city sewerage system has been overhauled, drainage systems were improved in 68 residential buildings, and 6.5 kilometres of in-house plumbing systems in residential buildings were replaced or repaired. Cafeteria rooms in city schools and interiors of the Children and Youth Sports School were fully renovated and furnished, and the Children and Youth Activity Centre was renovated, furnished and equipped. An ambulance vehicle was purchased for the City Central Hospital.
Specifically, a complete renovation of entrance hallways and elevators and an overhaul of potable water supply and sewage systems will continue in the sector of residential housing and utility services. As to the social facilities in Armiansk, Crimea TITAN will fully renovate the offices of the former Housing and Utility Directorate No1, which will now house the Territorial Social Services Centre.
Considerable amount of repairs will be made at the educational institutions. It is planned to repair sports hall and roof at the Higher Vocational School of Chemical Industry, the main institution preparing professionals for Crimea TITAN.
"Roof of the Higher Vocational School assembly hall is in good condition, not so long ago the school carried out repairs there, and the rest of the roof – over the gym – will be changed by us. This will allow students to pursue higher specialized education in a comfortable environment”, says the Head of construction department of the enterprise Alexey Fomenko.
The Children and Youth Sports School will see an overhaul of its sports hall and next stage of renovation of a swimming pool. Previously, there have already been performed finishing work; in particular, the concrete ceiling of the pool was coated with anti-corrosion solution and paint. According to the plan the enterprise will repair the pool bowls, wall tiles in the shower rooms and locker rooms, install new floor as well as replace water treatment, water supply and sanitation systems. The amount of work is big, but the renovation will be completed before the next swimming season. Before the new year interior walls of the school sports hall will be painted, spoiled flooring (about 30%) will be changed and painted, glass blocks will be replaced by plastic windows. These works are planned to be completed by 2014.
In three schools, five infant schools, Suvorov college #8, music school and school #5 new modern windows and doors will be installed. It is planned to change windows for more cost-effective in terms of heat and noise insulation before cold weather, but external slopes will be renovated in spring – in a warm and dry period.
In addition, Armiansk will also have a new kindergarten thanks to a complete reconstruction of The Sun, an old kindergarten shut down more than 17 years ago because of the poor and unsafe condition of the building. Today, the creation of additional groups in the existing gardens of Armiansk does not solve the problem of queues in kindergartens, and a new preschool is necessary to be opened. This will allow the kids of old city district to attend preschool institution in the immediate vicinity of house.
“Today The Sun kindergarten is in critical condition: there is no roof at all, there are cracks on the walls. We need to restore the building completely. We will start, of course, from the roof. The contractor “Titan Ukraine” is now developing a record of faults and then will be purchasing the necessary building materials. Prior to the cold weather we will set the roof membrane coating, and then strengthen the foundation”, says Alexey Fomenko.
In the next academic year the enterprise plans to open the doors of The Sun kindergarten to hundreds of Armiansk small inhabitants.
